We provide both local chefs and community members island wide with fresh, local, pono seafood. 100% traceable from boat to plate.  Every fish we provide can be traced back to the fishermen that caught it- you serve a story with your meal! 

Our business is based on providing the local community with seafood acquired through pono fishing practices. We provide transparency to consumers about where their seafood comes from by providing traceability. Each delivery of seafood is uploaded into the This Fish website under your restaurants’ account. We provide you with a QR code that can be placed on your menu. When a customer orders a seafood dish, they can scan the QR code with their smart phone. This code takes them to the This Fish website and allows them to view the story of the fish they are eating, as well as entire list of seafood you have ordered and its story as well.

Local I‘a is distribution and subscription based seafood business. We source local, in-season seafood that is caught through pono fishing practices and distributed directly to chefs and consumers. Local I’a was established to increase the awareness of where our seafood comes from, highlight our hard working pono fishers, and provide healthy local seafood.

Distribution is flexible, based on the demand of the chefs and supply of the fishermen. Invoices are sent as deliveries are made. Pre-order of certain species is appreciated, but there are no limits on amount one has to order to get a delivery.
