‘Ōpelu Poke

Poke that uses one of Hawaii's most common fish. It's a delicious and more sustainable option to ahi or salmon.

INgredients

1lb ‘Ōpelu
1Tbs inamona (roasted kukui nut)
2 Tbs limu kohu, or any other kind of limu
Hawaiian salt to taste

Directions:

1 Fillet ‘ōpelu, remove bones and skin. Cut into ¾” cubes
2 Mix cubed ‘ōpelu, inamona, limu and Hawaiian salt in a bowl
3 Refrigerate for 10 minutes to let flavors meld
Enjoy with poi or hot rice.
